Need help with wooden stealth grow box!

So i have a wooden chest in my friends house that we are planning on growing in. It is perfect size to fit my incubator for my WBS filled jars and a perfect size to fit trays once it is time to case the jars. The only concern i have is somehow lining the inside of it with some sort of stripping to kind of "water proof" it because the incubator and the tray will cause heat and hunidity. DOes anyone have any suggestions on how to make this stealh chest work?

I was gonna use a rubber made container as the terrarium, so there should not be to much leakage.

wood = mold generally, therefore we attempt to avoid it. What do you plan on fruiting in? and the incubator should cause minimal heat/humidty so there should be no worries

i plan on fruiting it in a sealed subbermade container...the "average man" terrarium.

I was thinking about this and thought vinyl flooring/linoleum would be good. You can get remnants for free a lot of places that sell flooring and its easy to work with, water proof, easy to sterilize, durable and cheap. Just a thought.

The problem would seem to be getting enough air exchange, had you come up with a plan on that issue?

you could always paint the inside of the box with some exterior paint. it is made to be wet and not mold.. just :2cents:

You would be best to advoid the wooden box altogether. See if you can get some of the plastic they use as vapour barrier between drywall and the studs when building houses. Seal that with some of the tape they use to seal the moisture barrier on then outside of houses. Or just advoid the box.

You could always try applying a "Wood Sealant"(used to prolong decks) to it as well!,

Grow sclerotia and you will have no light/humidity/checking worries at all. You could leave it months without checking so you can put it in a very difficult place for snoopers to access.
