On a high dose of LSD, I was looking at
^^ that pic.
The patterns in it started to move, and form totatly new pictures out of the cat - then those new moving pictures would 'get up and unravel', and form increasingly complex pictures, then a part of the new moving picture would 'pop up' from the rest, unravel, and form a new picture - each one getting increasingly detailed, complex and beautiful - and each one 'sucking' me into the picture - untill I was 100% unaware of my sorroundings/body/etc - it was just what I was seeing in the cat.
In the end, it was like my brain had an orgasm and was like "wow, thank you for showing me something this beautiful!", it eventaully turned into like, a picture into another world - fully animated in the most amazing level of detail.
I wasnt staring at a cat - it was like staring into a picture of india, seeing a huge temple in the background, with the street's lined with pillars, with these things ontop that had tendrils at the base spinning around and beckoning me in with elephants dancing on the top of them.
I'm not sure how long it lasted for, but eventually I got pulled back into my body - and it actually startled me to realize I was sitting at my desk looking at my monitor - as what I just saw and felt seemed so real, and my eyes were open the time - it wasnt a closed eye visual.
it was /nuts/, had never had anything happen like that before.

You know, I've tried to explain that to my other friends who like tripping, and I usualy get a look of 'huh, you see what?'.
I get /similar/ things alot, however not to the same depth/level of detail as it happened that one night.
Then again, on a lower dose - it was like watching a cartoon on my window, I kept seeing all sorts of crazy shit on it, the one that stood out howver, was the flexing hippo who bit off his bicept and turned into a bloody mess. Did all sorts of less-graphic things before that (and after), but thats the one that stood out for the 'what the fuck?'' factor.heh - but, not even close to what I saw in the cat, heh.

I tried this stuff once almost a year ago, and it was amazing....!
I was writing stuff in a pad of paper sitting on my lap as I was sitting on the edge of a chair, and the picture you posted was pretty much exactly what I saw over everything that was in my field of vision that was not on my pad of paper.... It was all moving like the surface of water, and I remember thinking that I could get sea-sick from all of the motion....!

i see visuals like that also.... i think you have to have an "eye" for it, be open to the idea of it. i have friends who don't get many (if any visuals) at all. i even get visuals like that when i do MDMA, or smoke some amazing sativa. its all about looking through your third eye, everyone can do it, and just because your third eye is blaring wide open from a serendipitous encounter with some fungus or chems, doesn't mean your actually focusing your attention on it.
congratulations on "seeing" (visualising) what the fabric of reality looks like! its all fractals. its all math
my favorite fractals are when i look up at pine trees when the sun is rising up behind them, the light shining through the needles form perfect red/yellow/black/ Mandelbrot's every time.
