Jesus was all about cleaning up local government corruption, and he was opposed to revolutionaries who wanted to take up arms against the foreign Roman overlords.

What a surprise...everyone thinks Jesus agrees with their philosophies. I guess even gahndi is not above exploiting religion to push personal opinions.

depending on how you interpret it, jesus could have been a communist/anarchist or an authoritarian fascist.

In politics, I think he would be considered a theocratic dictator.

well, i think he was anti-capitalist. his advice was to surrender all possessions and live a life of servace.
He certainly had socialist aspects to him, in that he denied class superiority, embracing the lowest castes of his time (lepers, hookers, rich and poor alike were loved equally)
he preached civil disobedience, and non violent resistance
but ultimatly, his beliefs go beyond the political.

Well, personally, I'm not exactly an anarchist. At least not in the short-term. Maybe as an ultimate goal of humanity. But anyway, I would classify Jesus' politics as anarchist.

There is a store about five minutes away from me that sells nothing but small Christian statues. They have various saints, Mary, Jesus, etc..
I thought of you when I saw it.

for the most part, they are not needed and would prove rather troublesome. We know about Jesus. I've understood everything and was reminded of passages without them having to quote as for many it is common knowledge, even for a non-christian like me.
