 Dried Cyan Potency Loss?

I'm still new to hunting but I live in Washington and I have a few spots near me where cyans grow. I want to get the most out of my little friends so I wanted to know once and for all, do cyans lose potency when dried or do they lose very little like libs?

Ya I just made a post here yesterday with a small find, there still drying and I was wondering the same thing. If anyone knew anything that would be awesome.

The potency loss stems mainly from the degradation of the unstable active compound in mushrooms, psilocin.
The more psilocin is contained in the fresh mushrooms, the more can be lost during the drying and storage.
As P. cyanescens has relatively (and absolutely) more psilocin than P. semilanceata
(see Magic Mushroom Dosage Calculator), chances are that the some potency will be lost when the mushrooms are processed instead of consumed fresh.

Allthough some potency is lost when Cyans are dried, it's not too significant.
I would not worry about it very much, unless you have only found 3 or 4 shrooms and you really want to make the most of them.

I concur people have reported drying makes the cyans alot less potent and the high alot different.

Hmmm... Not sure, I'd think you could pick any mushroom you'd want year round as long as its not an illegal one.

I have a bag of dried cyans from all the times ive picked but couldnt eat them fresh (as a result of work, school,ect.) & the other night I ate some just to see how good they were, or wernt. & I must say they did theyre job very well!!! I couldnt even roll up knifers. I only ate about a gram & i havnt felt like that all year with the fresh ones Ive ate/made tea with.

I wouldn't doubt it, in my experience I have had some smaller Cyans that REALY packed a punch.

Trust me, even if they do lose potency, its not much. I found 2 decent size cyans, and 3 small ones, almost pins. I had dried these for about 3-4 days. I ate them not expecting to feel much, but I felt it about just as much as I had with 2.3 Gs dried cubes, which i would say is a level 3. Im not sure how much it weighed exactly, I would say it was about a 1.0 - 1.5 dried grams.

my home grown b+ mushrooms seem to be very low in potency, they were inoculated in half pint jars with vermiculite and brown rice flour and grown in a nice grow chamber. they were dried with out heat, i ate about 7 grams with only mild to medium effects. Any suggestions???

That calculator is wayyy off for me.

Drying cyans in a food dehydrator only causes a small drop in potency.
The high is also essential the same as well.
