fully colonized left alone for awhile...

Would there be anything wrong with having a fully colonized substrate jar sit for 5 days? I will have school break and will not be able to attend to the jars and do not want to bring them home. Will the conditions still have to be around 85F, etc?

They'll be straight...you could leave them at roomn temp or cooler and they'll be just fine!

thanks. just the anwser I was looking for. One more thing... What if the jars are not absolutely colonized, like 95% colonized? Would I still have to keep the heat up?

cakes will colnize at room temperature, just not as fast..

If you're looking for them to be done by the time you get back, leave in the incubator, but they'll be straight to leave at room temperature

thanks for the response, one more thing. If I was to leave the fully colonized substrate jars unattended for 1 month, would everything be okay when I return to them?

If I am remembering what I read a while back correctly. It should be. As long as you keep them in complete darkness, perhaps at cooler temps to. Might want to wait for someone else to respond and give another opinion.

Darkness will prevent them from pinning as will cooler temps...

You could even refrigerate them! That would cold shock 'em!
(good thing, promotes aggressive growth)
