Ego death!
    #4896533 - 11/05/05 03:50 AM (18 years, 4 months ago)

Ego death could be when you stop trying to make others do what you are doing, and just do it yourself.

Just like thinking one can ?encode? words
Quote:

Words are the ?code?, we are ?decoders?; we all have the same code, yet we all use different decoders.

Some people want to 'encode' other people, to the 'code' they know, or think of as the best way, etc ..

That could be what we know as egoism.

And when your personalities, no longer sustaining the way of having others do what you do, are free of egoism, ones ego, also dies, .. fades away, no longer active/activated?

?Be what you are when you are?

I think there is more to it then trying to control others. I think that most of the problem in ego is how we talk to and treat ourselves in relation to our world.

I concur

Trying to control others <=> trying to control ourselves

Sub note: ironically by "trying to control ourselves", we giving it up, and thereby "loosing" it .. by having it..
