Fan in front of the HEPA filter

In my flowhood design the fan is in front of the HEPA fiter blowing straight to it. Is this ok?, or maybe is it going to pass the air in half the surface of the filter?

it's better to have itdiffused somewhat, it may damage the filter otherwise
