Help finding my type of tunes

I am looking for some music to get lost into.
I am a big fan of Nuskool Breaks. I think most of the music i have in my collection is too busy and heavy to listen to while tripping. I guess what i am looking for is something progressive and thoughtful, drawn out even. keeping in mind as do most people who love beak beats. I cant stand continuous house/trance beats. they bore me to tears.
Any help would be much apreciated. I neeed a music guru

oh yeah thanks. science, my favorite incubus. Your right, that would be good. I`ll give it a go.
But i think to really hit the nail on the head it is going to have to be mixed dance music. so that the music isn`t broken into individual tracks.

Dude, try Velvet Acid Christ. They're awesome. It's kind of dark, but really awesome stuff. They use a good amount of break beats and tranceish stuff. Also, Astral Projection is kick ass. Just search around, there's a ton of great drug-influenced techno out there. In fact, is there any techno that isn't drug-influenced??
Edit: If you want something that doesn't change tracks, Squarepusher is like ambient break beat. I think they do some stuff with Mix Master Mike. Good stuff.

Haha, what the fuck. Is it like some no-name techno crap? I'm in love with techno but that no-name shit always sucks. Like, love trance or something. It's so stupid, I can't even listen to it without feeling like I'm watching my sister play Dance Dance Revolution...ahh..so awful..

Try out umphrey's mcgee. Prog-jam-rock. Check this show out, epecially the Nothing too Fancy->Jimmy Stewart->Nothing too Fancy....just sick... http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=6878
Besides that, discover the Grateful Dead....there are thousands of shows on the archive....believe me, there's a reason the Dead and tripping go together................................................... http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=12279

"The Nasty" - Amon Tobin "People Like Frank" - Amon Tobin
Two of my favourite slower-paced tripping songs
By the sounds of it this isn't exactly your genre, but give it a chance, so far it's grown on 9/10 of my friends. If you're trying to get a bit torent of it I've heard some people say they had problems finding working ones, I don't know, I don't use them that often, just try to download it elsewhere.

moe.!
String cheese incident is cool too, they're like a bluegrassy, trancy, jam band type thing, they jam out with 20 minute songs that get so psycadelic. Rush is good, can't forget the beatles.

hey, also a big nu-skool head! my top 3 are plump djs, adam freeland, & evil nine.
i couldnt find the audio you were talking about on the jjj site. but they are known for good breakbeat sets.
so it sounds like you want some progressive breaks sets. ive got loads of sets on my hard drive. if you have aim maybe i could upload some to you. id reccomend you try out some of timo mass' breaks sets. even his prog house sets are top notch. you might also want to try out hybrid, phil k, nubreed, luke chable
heres some good sites to start with www.hybridized.org www.bijoubreaks.com www.livesets.com
also id recomend some drum n bass(faster breakbeats). try some atmospheric dnb.
if you need any more recomendations feel free to ask. you can pm me if you wanna hitmeup on AIM.

I whole heartedly second that. moe.'s taken me places! It can take them 10 minutes of noodling around before they play the opening notes of the song they're playing, but when you're tripping, it's PERFECT. I think Umphrey's is probably a more tallented band...no, just more technically proficient. moe. just lets the music come to them, slowly, then, slowly, builds it up, slowly, then BLOWS YOU AWAY.
The more you know their music, the better, because you'll understand all the little teases they throw in there.
