Casings.....

Hey, soon I'll have 6 pints of jars fully colonize and ready to go.
I was thinking of making one big casing in a 45 gal bucket. I was wonder the advantage/disavantage on this and your thoughts. My jars are cooked brown rice mixed with alittle verm. I was going to case it with just verm since i`m a noob to this.

I wouldn't make one big casing. If it get contamed, ALL your sub, time, and effort are down the drain. Spawn each pint to a bulk substrate in 6 diff. casings. You will be better off efficiency wise, and you'll thank yourself for doing so in yield size.

are you planning on spawning to poo or just casing your cakes? if your planning on just casing your cakes i would use a smaller container. you want your sub to be atleast 2" deep. i got good resalts when i used 4 pints of popcorn in a 6 qt container. casing layer about 3/8" deep.
