WBS Dampness Question?

OK I'm still having problems getting jars to fully colonize or to even colonize at all. After PCing a jar should the WBS just appear damp or moist? Some of my jars appear to have a white slimy residue after pcing. Is this normal? And should I try prepping smaller amounts of WBS at a time too insure accuracy. Because I have all this equipment, and can only get 1 good cake every month or so. This is getting very frustrating please help!!

you may have soaked your WBS too long or if you simmered it you did that too long. I was told if you do it ferments into a white slimy glue. How long did you do both?

I soaked between 12-18 hrs. and simmered for about 20minutes. Yeah in some of the jars theres a whitish glue around the seeds.

Also say if I soaked and simmered the WBS and loaded into jars would it be ok to PC them the next day, or should it all be done the same day to avoid problems???

start over, rinse/cleans seed well. Soak for 24 hrs over night and then DO NOT simmer it and put it right into jars and PC. I have read of a lot of people not simmering it if soaked long enough and it working well.

1) soak 24hrs
2) drain, then rinse with warm tap water this help for evaporation in the most important and key step to avoid slimmy shit :
3) DRAIN DRAIN DRAIN THE FUCK OUT THE SEEDS.. let them DRY a little.. you can add a little vermiculite also to make them not to WET .
4) polyfill, pcing hallelujiah your done

Sometimes I find myself straining the WBS for up to 45mins-1hr on a window screen. Is this normal? Also is it normal to see a little bit of moisture once loaded into the jars. Because I dried for about 45mins lastnight and things were still a little moist against the sides of the jar

Oh using vermiculite never tried it but sounds like a good idea. Just mix it in with the WBS???
