Contams after pinning?

Hey all,
I got my pins on my first cake, and they've roughly doubled every 24 hrs. They have little white flecks on the caps-to-be. Is this a contam, or just a spotted cap (Z-strain)? Can you even get a contam after the pins have been produced? I would post a pic, but my digicam is on the fritz. Will post as soon as I can, but in the meantime, please disuade me from dispair! Thanks!

Don't worry about the white flecks, they are not contams. If you start seeing colors other than white, then start worrying....
