What is happening with my jars ?

Hi, This is my first start and I'm a little bit worried about my jars! Here how I proceed. I first soak organic Rye Grain for 24 hours, rinse and drain well. Load up all my jar (500 ml.), close with tyvek and polyfil and put them in the pressure cooker. I then sterilize them all 1 hour at 15 psi. I forgot to put the 2 foil lid over the jar during sterilization. I think that this can affect the moisture level inside the grain. Now, I let them come back to room temperature, and inoculate 18 jars with one 10cc Burma syringe acquired from sporeworks. I inject about 0.5-0.6cc in each jar. I then incubate them all at 28c. Now look at the jar development :
4 days after inoculation :
6 days after inoculation : (the middle jar is the same one, almost any progression)
(I shake them all just after this picture)
10 days jar :
11 days jar :
We are now at days 12 and the jar almost look the same. Are they looking ok ? When I look at some tek, mycelium growth always form some mass, why the hell mine have so little point of mycelium on each kernel, if it's really mycelium. I have couple of hypothesis :
#1 Moisture is too high because I forgot the foil lid during the sterilization
#2 0.5 to 0.6 cc is not enough for this jar dimension
#3 Weak asexual hyphea production (can be link to #2)
#4 Too old/Weak spore (I know spores can survive a long time in syringe but want to figure out all possible conclusion)
#5 Only a normal but very slow colonization
Please give me your opinions! Thanks

I was going to post this too just now, mine first time WBS jars look identical w/o white mass growth. I checked them today with same look but I knocked my jars up the 27th of sept. I will follow this thread closely.

I'm thinking #2 and or #Z (jars weren't totally cooled and heat killed spores)...just a thought...

what is your strain, I've read some strains are less prone to grow rhizomorphically

I used the same syringe with PF jars with Rhizomorphic growth and no growth like that on the WBS jars.

We can had :
#6 Spore injected while jars still too hot (#Z)
#7 Bacteria
I just opened 2 jars in the lot and smell them, I didn't notice any nasty odor and the jar don't have any grain diformation or color diformation so we can almost discard #7.
I have look at the jar this morning and I don't notice any growth change. What are you recommanding me to do ? We are now at day 13 at optimum temperature.

I was using wbs and didn't have great results with my jars. Too wet and basically not a good wbs to use. I got differnt wbs made new jars and in my Glove box (a hippy chick style replica) I did a few grain to grain transfers once that mycellium hit the new wbs it just took off great colonization in under a week. Plus I turned 6 jars into 24! worked great for me...dont know if it will for you but it is definitly a way to go. Btw you can transfer the rye to wbs if you choose to do so.
