II. Accurate mushroom descriptions
It is critical that you describe mushrooms fully and accurately in order to get a proper identification.
A good picture of the mushrooms is invaluable, but not required. Along with the pictures YOU ARE REQUIRED to provide the following data:
* Habitat (where [woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude] and what [soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?)] does it grow on) * Characteristics of the gills (color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc) * Characteristics of the stem (length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc) * Characteristics of the cap (diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc) * Spore print color (very important!) * Color that the mushroom bruises * Scent of the mushroom * Anything else you might find important

A spore print greatly helps to identify a mushroom.
To make a spore print:
Cut the stem off as close as you can to the cap. Place the cap gills down, on a piece of white paper. Place a glass upside down over the cap and let it sit for like 5 hours. After enough time has elapsed, the mushroom cap will have dropped it's spores onto the paper, creating a print. What's important is the color.

Wow it looks like you got some Copelandia Cyanescens there. Or it looks that way to me at least, but im no expert, so DONT EAT ANY of those YET.
Thats a pretty lucky find especially for someone as inexperienced as yourself. They are one of the most potent hallucinagenic mushrooms, so be careful. But again like i said dont eat any just yet, post some better pictues and wait for the pros to get in here. But nice find.

Id put my money on a cubensis?that?s a shitty picture. People don?t want to give you assurance with vauge descriptions becase the last thing we want is an accidental poisioning but the purple print and gills rules out the Lepiota--- This might be a big Cope too?even better. Are your hands stained blue after handling them? Oh and try not to get them so bruised your losing psilosin

they look like cubes to me , copes would be bluing like hell in those pictures seeing that they are pretty banged up , nothings for sure tho , purple spore print hints at psilocybe , blueing isnt too evident tho , take a better picture in the light with the mushies on a white piece of paper and take a pic of the spore print

Gah, they look nothing like cubes, first off, the stem structure is too fragile and as shown in both pictures, as they are split and broken all over.
And I see no remnants of a veil.
In the first picture I see blueing all over the cap, which is common in copes and not as common in cubes.

yes you are finding Copelandia cyanescens.
but it looks like in this picture you have a mixed collection:
i circled the mushroom matter with yellow circles that look like they might not belong.
it might be a mixed collection, but you did in fact find Copelandias.

They don't look like Cubes...They look like Copes..
Being kinda beat up it is hard to tell.. I won't say yes and I won't say no..
Next time try and get a habitat shot they are a lil easier to ID from a wild grow shot.. Keep a looking and good Luck!

Yes those ones circled above in yellow look more like Pan.antillarum's...a non active Cope lookalike that grows right alongside pan Cyans....Ive never seen caps of actives split like that. In either case, the other ones Cubes or Copes are definaltey active...
