These millet jars are a about 5 days old. I soaked for 24 hours did not simmer because its going to be used as spawn. I PCed for 60 min's. I used 1cc for each quart jar. I'm not sure if this is young mycelium or cobweb mold. The pics arnt the best. I cant figure out how to turn the auto flash off. If it is cobweb, what can I do?

I've never seen anybody really find the answer-- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer."

Yes it could be, looks kinda gray to me, but the pics are pretty rough. You could isolate the jars you suspect and wait a day, if it takes over the jar then its cobweb.

If its cobweb mold then throw away and check your sterile procedures.

Their tough, stubborn and loyal, which is easily turned into something horrible in the wrong hands.

I second that. Cobweb mold would be enemy #1 on the contaminant list because it's difficult to differentiate from the mycelium at first--except it seems rare; (compared to green mold).
