If you're talking about music with sitars like what shankar does, i gotto agree. I love listening to that when tripping, it seems to give me good visuals. Also, Beatles tracks that use a sitar, like norwegan wood and within you, without you are dope. Early tea party tracks have some good eastern rock too.

tool incorperates a lot east indian sounds into there music..a lot of the guitar riffs are east indian based..i love that sound..its great while trippin..but the best music while trippin in my opinion is a big drum circle..

Yeah, Ravi is probably the best known... Ive been having trouble finding others though, every time i go to the library to get indian music it turns out to be East Indian Pop music- sounds horrid!

YES! i listen 2 all kinds of tunes that have awesome indian influences in them. i listen to shit like that when i smoke up, if puts me in this killer creative mood and i just sit there, writing down all these crazy philosifies and awesome poetry. if u like really mellow indian tunes, then u will have 2 get some Ravi Shankar-amazing to chill and toke to. or Dead Can Dance, they have some nice tunes like that. even Tool has it in a lot of their songs, such as 4 Degrees, Disposition, and Reflection. and of course, The Tea Party's older stuff. like off their album "Splendor Solis". its real 60s sounding, even the quality, but it adds to the type of music so much. sounds real middle-eastern and has a sort of earthy feel to it, if u know what i mean. thats where i got my user name. Raven Skies. a killer Tea Party song. i even have a band going that sounds right in between the Tea Party's older stuff and Tool's newer stuff...so good.
