Live feed in New Orleans - you can hear radio chatter. While I've been listening I've heard:
-FEMA is trying to shut down a major supply depot; Zephyr field -Two officers have been shot, awaiting Medical Evacuation -Several helicopters are reporting receiving gunfire from citizens
-All available MP (Military Police) are being called to an unknown location to secure the perimeter.

You might need to switch between the two. Sometimes they go silent for a while. Pretty terrible stuff happening down there.

Yeah I was listening to that, earlier! I heard the bit about Zephyr(?) field. The guy sounded almost distraught that FEMA was closing it down.
Looks like what happened to Baghdad maybe the norm for cities under a lot of stress.

Not too much on it right now. What sounds like a chopper pilot keeps trying to radio san antonio...but that's about it for the moment

GENERAL INFO:
The national guard units (I think) are using a police communications network. If that is the case, they are on an 800MHz system, which by its nature, uses multiple frequencies for each channel . Therefore although you may here "unit 1" call "unit 2" on whatever channel this scanner is listening on, you may not here "unit 2's" response because it's on another frequency, even though its on the same channel.... if that makes any sense to you.
Makes sense to me now.

It so sad how people are trying to stop the people from helping them. Its like a live hell show over there. I hope everything gets better there soon.

I'm using quicktime and the damn thing only plays for a few seconds and I have to keep hitting the play button...is there an easier way by any chance?
