Well last night's trip was amazing, my friend and I split my whole first wet flush. I patched it back up with some more moist verm and put it back into the aquarium. How long until another flush appears?

I dunked it before the 1st flush because it was going slower than it was supposed to...what kind of time frame do I have to dunk if I were to dunk before the second flush. I guess before there's any more knots?

I usually toss it in water and put in the fridge for 12 hours, right after picking all of my first flush. I don't know how long after picking the first flush you could leave it. I wouldn't wait more then a day. You can always try dunking for the third flush if you have a rich substrate and plan on keeping it going that long.

can someone explain to me how i would dunk a casing? cakes are one thing b/c they can fit in most containers...i have read many people saying to dunk a casing after the 1st flush...but i cant picture it in my mind how it would work. do u take off the casing mix off the top of the myc first?
my casing is a pyrex 9x11. can someone give me detailed instructions on how i would dunk this? it seems like i would make a huge fxckin mess.
sometimes i have a hard time comprehending things...

I use tin foil trays to do all my casings, I just add water till its covered then I cover with tin foil. Then I rip a hole in the corner of the tinfoil cover and turn over helping with my hand to hold the casing from pushing the tinfoil off while draining off of excess water. This is just the way I do it and bye no means am I saying that this is the right way of doing it.

I just got a bigger container and filled it with water. Then I took a small container (the type you get at the deli for cole slaw or w/e) and put it flatside down on the cake. Then I pop on the big lid and the small container holds the cake all the way under the whole time.

I'm confused. Do I need to shake off any excess casing to dunk it? Or just dunk the entire thing? My first flush was an extreme disappointment and I think it had to do with lack of water --- the casing dried out right before pinning. I'm looking to soak it and make sure it has ample water supply for the next flush. My first flush was EXTREMELY small...I mean EXTREMELY. The fruits were skinny and wispy. Do you think that is a product of lack of water [I'm guessing so since mushies are mostly water]? W/such a tiny first flush, can I even hope for a 2nd flush w/bigger mushies if I treat it right?
