    #4576057 - 08/24/05 06:39 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

I gotta say, I like this guy. And I can see why his own people love him too. He has personality (see the video of him jumping up and down in front of a large crowd)? He pulled out of the U.S. led War on Drug. He actually held a mock trial and convicted Bush of imperialism (who doesn't want to do that?) and even offered to sell oil directly to lower class Americans to spite the middle man oil companies. Not only that, his response to the Pat Robertson fatwa was classic: "Never heard of him, and I could care less."

I like this guy. He's like a Latin Robin Hood.

Has he oppressed anyone that we know?

Haha I forgot about that too! He's a good pal of Castro. Another plus since the U.S. hates that. And look at that embrace. I've never seen a U.S. president hold another world leader like that.

I bet at least 51% of the U.S. hates him. (ask Karl Rove)

Dodge Ram 1500 quad cap with 20" polished aluminum rims. I use to smoke the tires before it cost me 50$ to fill the tank.

Robertson is a loony whackjob. However, dictators can be elected. Hitler comes to mind as an example.

And of course, there is ample evidence of massive fraud in the last two Venezuelan elections, particularly this last one.

Watch the documentary 'The revolution will not be televised'. Its a great documentary, shows how Chavez operates things. The lower class really does love this man. There was a coup not to long ago, but millions of people rushed the palace and got him back into office.

It was a great documentary, what happened wasn't what the film makers were expecting. It gives a good view as to what actually when on, rather then what the main stream American media says went on.

If the people of his country love him, then why do Americans give a shit? ... Oh ya, must be the oil

The logic "I do not like the United States; therefore I like anyone who opposes the United States" is not very bright. As far as I can tell he's just a raving leftist whom is popular among uneducated proletariate and who is good buddies with the last communist dictator in the Western Hemisphere, a man who jails and tortures dissidents. Chavez says Bush is bad and Castro is good. I might suspect his perspective is just a tad skewed.

Osama Bin Laden seems to have both as well. Is that really a wise qualifier for a political leader?

Charisma and balls of steel? Sounds a bit like the governor of California. Or Adolf Hitler.
