My friend Eileen was thinking of moving there, she's deciding between Costa Rica and San Diego.

I had a friend who was an exchange student there for a year, and he loved it. He said it was absolutely beautiful in some areas, and the people are pretty cool.

I went to Costa Rica for a vacation awhile back. I heard its quite easy to get residency there, and from what I found and did, everything is incredibly cheap when you use US Currency.
I saw modern 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartments for $400 a month. Thats insanely cheap. Too bad, I have a job here and still getting my degree. I'd easily be down there.

Well, I think he doesn't want to be tied down with any kind of employment, like the Coast Guard.
I think he's just wanting the simple life; working in costa rica while living a satisfying life.
...just my guess though.
