Perlite Substitution

I?m about to start my first set of PF jars. The only problem is, I can?t find a store that sells vermiculite. I?ve checked home depot and garden stores. All I can find is perlite. Can I just substitute perlite for verm? If not does anyone know a place in the west suburbs of Chicago that I can get verm?

if you really wanted you can do WBS , but it takes exp and its harder

Walmart usually has it.

Don't use perlite. I've never used it personally but I can't see it working right.

Get a phone book. Call everywhere you can think to call... Supermarkets, building suppiles stores garden centers.

You'll find it in the west subs of Chicago I guarentee.
