When casing; can you put whatever you want on top of the mycelium with growing success?

If so..this is just a thought, just ignore it if it sounds stupid.
Since the substrate is still psychoactive after it stops producing, if I were to case it w/cannabis than after it stops producing shrooms hypothetically I would have some crazy super weed. Does this work?

Wow, I haven't said this in a long time, but you're a fucking idiot. Materials such as peat, verm and coir are used because they have the proper structure. Even if marijuana had the proper structure which needless to say, it doesn't, the mycelium would decompose the weed.

mushroom dave, just for your information, smoking mycelium or mushroom material will not get you high. Anyone who has smoked mushrooms and gotten a buzz is just feeling a placebo effect combined with the fact that they just smoke a mushroom!!!! mmm i love the taste of button mushroom smoke.
