Here is my first harvest of the year. its looking pretty promising so far. Me and Dannykindbuds found 22 weilii this afternoon.
Thats all 22
And heres the biggest one at about 3 inches in diameter.

I went to st thomas and camped out ontop of the island... Despite my entire family being poor all my life, the land is priceless.
I was chased by haitians in the main city charlotte amalie when my girlfriend and I got some cocaine for free in a bar and mixed it with alcohol, to form a stronger drug. With such confidence at 2am, we walked the 4-5 or so miles down to the beach where the african slaves lie like lions waiting on tourist prey.
The war isen't on drugs... the war is on the causes that influence people to abuse drugs. drug-abuse is a by-product of the system and much like radioactive waste occurs from utilizing nuclear power, drug addicts with drug-problems will need to be properly disposed of, like the decaying radioactive waste produced from nuclear energy. -i2ancid

and noone believed me weilii arent strictly fall fruiters pfft. If it rains enough and the temps are mild theyll come out any time.

A friend of mine just called me up and told me he found some weiliis on his front lawn (hes got bermuda grass). He said he found tons and im about to go over there and give em a proper ID.
Looks like i got me a weilii patch!

what is it with people finding weilii in their yards all the time? some people search for months even years for them and these people stumble across them in their yards, sigh.

The interesting thing was that 4 of the weilii were growing straight out of pinestraw. There was no bermuda grass or red clay, just soil and pinestraw. the massive one was one of the straw men.

great finds! i plan go get out and do some hunting some time soon. After today's heavy rains i bet there are tons of weilii boys poppin up.
BTW Rancid, i'm proud to say that i'm one of the "Weilii patch in my yard" guys. Ever since ivan i've been getting nice little flushes ever once in a while.

they tend to grow larger in pine straw, Ive found the largest ones in pinestraw. Might have to do with acidity of the pinestraw but im really not sure, nice finds though...
 these were all found in pinestraw last year

I ate 7 of the 22 last night and had a very pleasing and VERY visual trip. At one point when i was drinking orange juice from a bottle it became a part of me and i could feel what it was like being the bottle; i tried it again but couldnt do it.

Well i just went out again and found three more. Plus a few pins. that makes 34 weilii in 3 days in the same patch.
Look at this perfect little specimen. ahhhhhh.... i love weilii

I have found 9 more since my last post and have now found 43 weilii in one patch. I cant wait untill it gets a little cooler outside and maybe a few hurricanes come through.
