When I was on shrooms, I felt like a little baby...
    #4511745 - 08/08/05 08:04 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

I had to have people to everything for me, I was playing with things and putting them in my mouth. It felt like everything I was doing was out of pure human instinct. I also found that I was always questioning everything. This hints that human nature is to question everything. But I wont get into that. trippy shrooms.

However, when you transcend all this pre-conditioning by returning to the original wisdom of the animal body, then you discover this immense dimension of opportunity. For some people, it is a frightening risk. To me, that's the psychedelic experience."

Shrooms tear away at the ego we've created for ourselves. Your ego would tell you that putting stuff in your mouth and playing with toys is childish and immature. Without the ego, who cares?...you're having fun.

I experienced the same thing during my earliest trips. It seems like the more you trip, the less playful it becomes, as you become more aware of what is happening to you.

I feel like that as well. The first time I tripped I just went around touching everything, and my friends and I ended up drawing all over ourselves with hi-liter because we had a blacklite.

I think it's because in a sense you are a child again, the world is all new to you, YOU feel new, your brain is rewired, all your senses are essentially new, so really, when you are shrooming, you ARE a newborn.

I totally agree.  There is a chance to get real "work" done after one has gained enough experience with shrooms.  You are not as distracted by all the "pretty colors" and have enough confidence to head into uncharted or even trecherous waters within your psyche without much fear.  My recent trips are nothing like the ones I used to have when I first started tripping.

Cherish those early trips, people.  I remember mine with utter sweetness.
