I saw the movie last night..it was alright, very Gattica like and a bit repetative, but if you like explosions and car chases then you'll like it.
I saw plugs for X-box and MSN....I can't think of any others tho.

There is nothing wrong with product placement.
In fact, I promote it's use.
1. I hate seeing generic brand soda or chips in movies. Product placement makes a move more realistic by allowing the use of actual real life items. 2. Second reason, and more important reason, is that product placement allows the director to work with a MUCH larger budget, allowing for an overall better film.
If seeing a Coke in a movie pisses you off, I highly recommend never leaving your house and entering something I call "reality".

I don't know about every one else, but it isn't the subtle product placement that pisses me off such as an actor drinking a coke or a pepsi. I also think it is much more realistic to have the actors using name brand products that we all know about instead of cola or something. I get REALLY annoyed when a director will take a product and zoom in or it or put some unnecessary focus on it in order to get the audience to notice it...or even having the actors discuss the product and talk about how good ir tastes or something along those lines. I think these are basically commercials instead of just product placement and they greatly take away from the movie experience for me. I mean, I'm not there to sit through 3 or 4 fucking commercials during a film especially since that's what goes on in the previews now anyways.
The worst example of this I have seen recently was in Mr. and Mrs. Smith...ughh...I noticed a whole bunch of blatant ads in it and even heard some dialogue about the mini-van they were driving...something along the lines of "Hey that extra door really is useful". IMHO these type of things should not happen if the director wants anyone to take the film seriously.

I want to see this movie.....regardless of any product placement. That is such a petty thing to complain about.

There's a right way to do product placement, and a wrong way.
If it's done right it blends in smoothly with the movie and doesn't distract from the scene it's in.
