anyone ever scrape the mycelium for it to regenerate?

has anyone ever done or heard of how to do this ? it was suggested to me but i have no clue on how to approach it ... should i use a plastic spoon or fork? should i just scrape the surface or go down an inch or half inch?

well i think this is done becuase it creates a rough surface which creates easy pinning, but just roll it in verm tho for that. I could be wrong about the purpose to the scraping tho.

I have heard of scraping through the casing layer at the first sign of mycelium breaking through. This supposedly makes for larger mushrooms, but i have not seen any real difference. It is mentioned in the "sea of shrooms" tek. It sounds like you are talking about cakes though? I've never heard of such a thing before...
