I sucessfully inoculated 12 rice flower/vermiculite jars. They did not fruit readily and soon began exhibiting patches of blue. I began misting them directly and soon they began fruiting profusely. They have continued to do so, flush after flush. However, the bluing never subsided and, actually increased somewhat. These cakes have been producing for weeks now and are nearing their end. In the past few days they are exhibiting grayish, yellowish, brownish discoloration. Is it common for old cakes to become discolored, simply from age?

the more blue you see the more "thirsty" your cake is, and closer to death. do you dunk your cakes?

the yellowish you see is from slight overwatering , its waste produces by the myclelium
