So...Paul McCartney is dead
    #4395998 - 07/12/05 01:51 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/3674/pid.html

It presents a rather convincing theory, although their interpretations of some of the lyrics seem stretched and irrelevant at points.

At this point, I'm not putting too much stock in him actually being dead, because well, how could someone else sound just like him, look just like him, act just like him, and play music just like him, without actually being him!?

Damn. I have a bet that Paul will be the next Beatle to die, so I got kinda excited when I was clicking on this thread.

Yeah man, I agree that the hoax is probably just that, a hoax...but IMHO you should believe it's false because of the information, not the domain name! That's gotta be some new form of prejudice...let's call it domain name discrimination

Neither do I, generally. Some weight can be applied to them, though. Being less likley to be popular and having a glaring reminder of the fact that no publisher or editor was required, I'd bet a geocities page is less likley to be backed by corporate influence. Money presents one of the most dangerous risks to information's truth.

That said, I haven't heard such an insane rumor in a while. I can't take it as anything but a joke, but it's not that funny.

The Beatles will never die, even when the band members all die someday, they still will not be dead...their music will live on...just like the Grateful Dead... :sun:

This is really old... I'm suprised there are still people out there who hadn't already heard about the "Paul is Dead" hoax.

Of course it's a joke, I don't see any evidence that is even remotely convincing.

What did you find convincing about the theory?

i don't believe the hoax at all - but i'd say there are a lot of 'convincing' clues... i think the beatles themselves played into the hoax, for shits and giggles.

Convincing or "convincing"?
