Ya, I saw him in concert, got in for free too. Anyways the show was fucking AWESOME. I got a sweet posterboard I'll have to take a picture of. I got him to sign it and he fucking signed it upside down hah, I got his new cd too. It is pretty damn good, and it comes with a booklet that has ALL THE LYRICS TO ALL OF HIS SONGS!

I shouldve bought the cd he was selling that you can only get from him, not in stores, but I wasn't really thinkin.

fast cars, danger, fire & knives?

That's his worst CD so far, I couldn't even listen to it. What'd you think of it?

This guy is great. Beyond brilliant.

Anyhow, one of the things that makes him so fascinating is that you can hear him evolve. Listen to his records, all of them. He is good in all of them, but definately evolves. I don't think comparing his albums as better or worse does any good. They are all brilliant. The last CD is different then his other ones, sure. I happen to like it less. But I wouldn't say it's worse. It sets out to do something different then, say, float, and it achieves it just as well as float achieved it's goal. You are criticizing the guy for not meeting your expectations. The problem is not with his CD, it's with your expectations. They are all great discs.

3/5 stars.

You're right, I expected him to make good music, like his other CD's and he sure as fuck didn't reach that expectation.

Give the CD a few more spins, it's really good. i don't like it as much, but it's a better disc. Usually if you like music at first listen, it's going to suck 4 listens later (exceptions, Pink Floyd, the Beatles), and if you don't like it at first, you can learn from engaging it (exceptions: Country music and Yanni type shit).
