Changing into a Different Incubator?

I just set up my first incubator and it isnt working as planned. Its keeping it at 78 when i was shooting for 82-85. I just used a small heater I had laying around the house and its not doing it like i thought. Would it be ok for me to move the jars from out of the incubator while i set up the new one and then place them back or will it do any damage to the jars?
