Broke My Glass Pipe, What's the best/easiest way to fix it?

A friend of mine dropped my pipe recently and luckily the break was pretty clean for the most part, so I'm quite certain it can be repaired if one has the right tools... The problem is I don't know what tools to use.
The outside part of the bowl is whats cracked (Actually the outer front of the bowl was basically removed), and the crack spreads from the front of the pipe to the carb. The carb cracked in several places, none of them severe, so I'm quite sure it could be melted together if I knew how to do it properly. The only other problem is that there is a very long crack going up towards the stem, it's not going to fall apart but if I fix it I need to make sure it is sealed up properly also so that it won't break if someone taps a lighter against it.
I can borrow a hand-held butane/propane or similar torch like the ones used to make thin glass pipes like you'd use for crystalline substances, but would it be hot enough to melt the glass back together, and how would I go about doing so? Any guides on the net, or is there a better solution? I'll probably end up getting a new pipe whether I fix this one or not, but it would be nice to have more than one, if just to look at if nothing else even.

Unless you know someone that does glass work and can fix it for you, your best bet is to sand the edges of the break a little bit to give them a rough surface and use some glass epoxy on it. Unless this was a real special piece, just buy a new one man.

if you really cherish this pipe go to glasspipes.org and hire a glass blower to fix it for you. But if it is just another pipe.... buy a new one.

I treat my glass pipes as disposable, I always break them in the end. I have a metal agent blue pipe which can never break. I have a good few glass cones from broken pipes that can be fashioned into bowls for waterfalls or mucket bongs.

How much did you buy it for? You don't want to end up spending more money fixing it if you can just replace it.

man, me and some friends bought each of ourselves a bowl one day at a smoke shop. we went to 5 different smoke shops and i only saw one that i really liked and i got it. and everyone bet that i would be the first to break mine. well i wasnt. it was my friend, but i was next. we were sitting in a car and we just got done smoking and my boyfriend had my bowl because he has bigger pockets. well, he opened the car door and stood up and i guess it was on his lap and i heard it hit the road. mannn, its good it just split down the mouthpiece and stopped halfway doown the neck. he fixed it with this teal colored ducktape. but it looks soo ugly now. theres gotta be something better than ducktape i can use like some sort of glass glue that wont melt when heated. but idk of any such thing.
