Need info on Oregon Shrooms
    #432769 - 10/21/01 10:12 PM (22 years, 4 months ago)

I live in oregon near salem. I am inexperienced at hunting but dont have anybody to go with.
Could anybody that knows, please give me some information on what shroom species live around my area and their habitat (medium)? Also could you tell me about their relative rarity?
PS: heard that haymakers grow here, does anybody have any information on what exactly this is and where their found (hay maybe but what constitutes hay)?

Check for Liberty caps(Ps. semilanceata) in cow and horse fields! They won't be growing from manure, but clumps of sage grass!
Also, look in fertilized and manicured lawns as well as white bark mulch for Ps. baeocystis, Ps. Stuntzii, Ps. cyanescens and Ps. pelliculosa.
There are many others, but these are probably the most commonly found species.
Stay cool!-Levi7.
