Wiccan's psychotropic garden (pics!)

Its a beautiful summer morning, Wiccanistically speaking the first day of Summer in fact! Yesterday i saw a reluctant poppy flower peeking if summer had begun yet. After deciding it was the day of Solstice it woke up it's buddies and this morning I awoke to find poppy flowers galore. Poppies do that somehow: You see one flower and the next day there's lots despite their size. I guess its a plant pheromone thing.
---
Let's first start with the sinister Demon ruling my garden. .
. This is my Belladonna. (Death Herb, Atropa Belladonna) You can see several tiny purple flowers, soon to become green and finally black Belladonna berries, they are the only source of natural dl-Atropine that grows on an unprepared plant. The leaves of this plant are loaded with hyoscyamine, and there's almost no scopolamine present.
Recreational? Eheheheh.. If you want to solemnly ride a rotting horse into hell, and two days later stagger wretched and mutilated, following the trail of maggots back to sanity and call that "recreational", then this Dark Prince is just the herb for you. I will make visionary use of this plant, but no more than 0.1gr of leaf and even that tiny bit gets split across multiple doses as an adjunct to visionary meditation.
This plant is three years old, that means fully established and spreading out. When it aggressively pushed its branches 8ft wide it was machete time. This belladonna is grown on a mixture of 100 liters of pottingsoil mixed with 5 liters of limestone kittylitter. If you want your Belladonna to thrive and have its alkaloids soar, you got to have calcium-rich soil, so thats the sole reason the limestone litterbox-gravel got in the mix.
---
Oook it's poppytime! Last year I bought a supermarket gardenseed packet for Papaver somniferum var. "Danish Flag"https://files.shroomery.org/files/05-25/943014364-danishpoppy02.jpg> . Hmm, a poppy closeup! Look at those flowers! My garden was swarming with bumblebees eager to pollinate the flowers, and there's one in the left flower right now. They flew from flower to flower, I saw the pollination of flower X with Y happen before my eyes! I had a pic where one bumblebee was "doing" a flower and another patiently hovered over it for his turn - but the pic was a blur. .
. This is a true Ethno Garden pic! Here you see a psychoactive Danish poppy, and the wooden bowl below it holds last years harvest, from the best of which that very poppy was sown. The 24gr poppies in the bowl will give 2 cups of (4gr) Lemon Laudanum to each of three voyagers, making for a luxurious Opium day.
---
Finally there is this pic: .
. This is a potted cutting of a Diviner's Sage (Salvia divinorum) healthy fellow isnt he, especially if you consider it is a windowsil plant in a temperate climate. It's short, healthy and full of leaf. The leaves hold Salvinorin, and 0.2gr smoked or 2gr chewed already can produce an interesting visionary state if you close your eyes. I hope I can take many cuttings off this one to hand out to friends & family and especially the one who gave me this cutting!
---
So this is a selection from my garden pics. Please tell me what you think of it! Please note: I barely started taking pics and the cam is shitty!

You bet! In fact I'm planning to make some herbarium-like photos of Belladonna & its cherries because there just aren't many pics that do these lethal beauties justice. Once you see how yum-yum these betties look, you understand why Belladonna should only grow in gardens that are accessible only to well-instructed people.
If you have such a garden and you consider no "recreational" use Belladonna is a magnificent plant that comes back stronger every year, and you're sure to be dealing with l-hyoscyamine and dl-atropine, the original character of the European Witching herbs. When Shakespeare or an old grimoire in your attic speaks of "Dwale" it is this plant. Dwale is derived from the Dutch word "Dwalen" which means "wander about aimlessly and lost". And you would, trust me

my salvia plant is so scrawny (long legged) in comparison, but a good chew confirmed its pedigree yesterday.

Nice pics. Thanls for sharing. I still expect that you have more of a variety to show from your garden. I guess only time will tell.

Very nice. Impressive. Is your region seasonal or do you get moderate temperatures year round?
