need to store fully colonized jars for 3 weeks....

I will be going on a 1+ week vacation very soon and do not have enough time to fruit my fully colonized jars. what can i do to keep them in good condition for the next 3 weeks? put them in the fridge?

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Fridge works great, as will any cool place. Basement/cellar/anything. 35-50 is what you want.

Make sure you either cover the lids with foil or 2-3 coffee filters to keep any molds out. There isn't a fridge in the world that doesn't have cheese in it, so you can bet mold is circulating.

I've seen  :wink: Jars sealed up tight and put in the fridge store for up to 6 mo and fruit normal.  :laugh:

What about just leaving them at room temp to over-colonise in a dark place?
I have never heard a claim of it leading to weaker shrooms, but a few reports say they were more potent.

Wouldn't letting them overcolonize for three weeks use up a lot of the available nutrients though, reducing flushes?

i read a thread about something similiar to this a couple weeks ago. Thread located here.

It seems like this would be your best bet in my opinion. In the end you may have more potent shrooms using this method.
