PFJARS are excellent.....I would recommend their super substrate. I would also recommend eventually getting a PC and doing your own...but in the meantime you are golden with them. Quick shipping too.

$50 for 12 jars? that'd be $60+ with shipping, wow. have you read the pf-tek? it's extremely easy, i have never used a pressure cooker and have 24 pint jars upstairs, all looking fine with no signs of contams. i could understand if you were buying a mycobag to inoculate and let colonization and fruiting happen all in the same place, but you're just buying the jars for colinzation, you still need to inoculate and with that there is even larger room for error.

are you going to grow invitro then?

Ya  i dont have any jars empty or full, or a PC as of yet  Or any verm, or flour  :laugh:    After i see any success at all with the pre sterilized jars, i will invest in those things and make my own jars.  it does seem simple enough.    If i am feeling saucy, i may even try my hand at makeing my own syringes from prints, but that almost doesnt seem worth the difficulty in keeping sterile?    I dont mind spending a couple extra bucks to get the wheels turning.

PF Tek is so easy, easy to get all the stuff..but really, if your gonna try it out, and if you like it, get a PC and stuff later...forget the PF Tek, and forget the expensive ass jars. Go get yourself a couple mycobags (check the shroomery sponsers, a few have them) and get started with grain. Then you can just get some wild bird seed, jars and a pressure cooker if you like it and do up jars (or bags, but bags can take some bag working skillz to deal with...not mycobags though, they come ready and easy to use, just squirt and tape).
