All of the jars I have been doing have been contaminating. It is weird, before this, I had no problems with contamination. It is really weird. I did 20 jars of WBS and they all died to green. I have had jars contaminate pretty bad and been opened. Could it be because the spores were let out? I am going to clean out the bathroom and sterilize the shit out of it and try in there. Do you think this will work? Worth a shot?

Many things could of happened. I recommend you spray the shit out of the room your using with oust or lysol. And make sure the needle is flame sterilized, not with a regular lighter, but an alcohol flame of some sort, and use alcohol to wipe the needle. I have had whole batches go bad. Just try again.

I've sprayed the shit out of it. I inject the spores in the kitchen. I grow in my room. I'm going to try to start injecting the spores in my bathroom. I thought it was because I was using polyfil, so I stopped using it. It really sucks, it's just like...Everything is contaminating.

its all in your technique. preflop gave you some good tips there. having no air movement will help tremendously. sure it could be because you opened jars that were contamed, but more likely the fact that they are everywhere to start with. especially come this time of year.

Well, why is it that hardly any contaminated. Then all of a sudden. Everything new jar I did went bad.

you obviously did something different. got lazy and didn't clean everything, including yourself. something has to be different in your technique if you have had success before. go over how you did it all and then maybe you will come to a conclusion as to where you have gone wrong.

I haven't changed anything. I have been even cleaner seeing if it would work. I just put one small hole in the top, like you do with jars except only one.

and you didn't put anything in the hole before or after you innoc'd?
any chance the green can get in it will take. gotta cover that hole, even if it is with some med tape so it can breath without contams getting in.
try some tyvek next time.

no i wouldn't use the oven. see the oven will pull air into it as the heat comes out, thus pulling all kinds of shit with it right over what you are working on. not a good idea imo.

regardless of the wbs that he is using, if he is sterilizing correctly then it shouldn't matter. the green has to be coming poststerlization.
like... use some tyvek or something in that hole in the lid. go back to polyfil or something. i don't believe you'll have any luck as long as you let that hole just be open into the jars.

i have always the updraft of the oven, and i havent had a problem with contamination in over a year. It doesnt get too hot. Turn the oven to about 200, open it, pull out the middle rack and work on the middle rack. You dont have to let the oven preheat, if you do, that rack will be too hot.
