Hey all,
I play the role of music selector for our trip group and I want to add some new music from the categories weird, chill, relaxing and soothing. We like it easy since fast beats and hard base will confuse us easily and increase the chance of getting a bad trip. It's very hard to find good ones so I thought i'd ask you guys
What other groups/music/tracks can you guys recommend me from the categories weird, chill, relaxing and soothing? I've already searched on the forums and have been through the FAQs before but with little result. Maybe you can help if you know what I listen to, so I have posted a tracklist that contains tracks from all kinds of groups i'm using for shroom trips:
Group/Album/Trackname * Blue States/Nothing Changes Under The Sun/Stereo 99 * Blue States/Nothing Changes Under The Sun/The Trainer Shuffle
* Cypress Hill/Black Sunday/Hits From The Bong * Cypress Hill/Black Sunday/I Wanna Get High * Cypress Hill/-/Latino Lingo * Cypress Hill/-/Spark Another Owl
* DJ Food/Kaleidoscope/Minitoka
* Infected Mushroom/Converting Vegetarians/Avratz * Infected Mushroom/Converting Vegetarians/Elevation
* Magic Sound Fabric/Freedom Star/We Are All Connected
* Mylo/Destroy Rock & Roll/Muscle Cars * Mylo/Destroy Rock & Roll/Sunworshipper
* R?yksopp/Melody AM/A Higher Place * R?yksopp/Melody AM/Eple * R?yksopp/Melody AM/In Space * R?yksopp/Melody AM/Poor Leno * R?yksopp/Melody AM/Poor Leno (Jakatta Radio Mix) * R?yksopp/Melody AM/Remind Me * R?yksopp/Melody AM/R?yksopp's Night Out * R?yksopp/Melody AM/She's So * R?yksopp/Melody AM/So Easy * R?yksopp/Melody AM/Sparks * R?yksopp/The Understanding/Boys * R?yksopp/The Understanding/Dead To The World * R?yksopp/The Understanding/Someone Like Me * R?yksopp/The Understanding/Triumphant
* Sergv/-/Cubensis
* Shpongle/Are You Shpongled/Shpongle Spores * Shpongle/Tales Of The Inexpressable/Shpongleyes * Shpongle/Tales Of The Inexpressable/Star Shpongled Banner
* Simple Minds/-/Somebody Up There Likes You
* Stereo Pattern/-/Birth Of The Fool * Stereo Pattern/-/Reactionary Elements
* Thievery Corporation/Lebanese Blond/Elise Affair * Thievery Corporation/Lebanese Blond/One * Thievery Corporation/The Mirror Conspiracy/Le Monde * Thievery Corporation/The Mirror Conspiracy/Treasures * Thievery Corporation/Abductions And Reconstructions/Pizzicatto 5
* Yasmine/-/Sunrise Ruby
* Zero 7/Simple Things/Give It Away * Zero 7/Simple Things/Out Of Town * Zero 7/Simple Things/Polaris * Zero 7/Simple Things/Red Dust * Zero 7/I Have Seen/Salt Water Sound * Zero 7/When It Falls/When It Falls
==
Btw, Sergv and Stereo Patterns are both members of the forum. Good music
Thanks in advance!

Lotus - Livingston Storm I saw them last week, they were really good. I'm listening to the song right now as I'm reading your post, and I think it would fit beautifully into any playlist with chill music.
its 2-step, 130bpm, I think you can handle it

I'm not keen on narrowing it down to Tracks, you'll have to do that for yourself, but I'd recommend these albums.
Aleph Zero Records - Natural Born Chillers Bluetech - Prima Materia / Elementary Particles Buddha Bar - Chill Out in Paris Entheogenic - Entheogenic Gaudi - Bass, Sweat, and Tears Hoopy Frood - Psychonaut Massive Attack / Mezzanine Ott - Blumenkraft Ott - Hallucinogen in Dub Shulman - In Search of a Meaningful Moment Shulman - Soundscapes and Modern Tales

Thanks. I'll try to find what you guys recommended
@Kake: It's pretty good but not entirely to my taste. I'll include it in my list and find out if it's something cause we're shroomin this night :p
Could anyone recommend me music that's more like R?yksopp? To me they are the gods of tripping music Their first album, Melody AM is a PURE tripping wonder. I wonder if they use stuff themselves, they're pretty good at making trip music

Here's another trippy tune of mine you might like, it has digereedoo, tabla, and sitar among other things ... I call it 'Namaste'

Godspeed You Black Emperor fits that description perfectly. Check out their songs "East Hastings", "Antennas to Heaven", "09-15-00 Part One", "Static" and "Motherfucker=Redeemer Part 2".

Halica by Sweet Trip is an amazing CD. Very chill, kinda weird, and amazing while tripping. I can't recommend it enough.

more suggestions for you:
-artifacts - wrong side of da tracks (this track alone is all you need from the artifacts for your playlist) -de la soul -J-zone -The roots -common (specially his new album "Be"... its amaaaaaaaazing.

Hey all,
Thanks for the replies I'm going to try to get a hold of all of your suggestions. Sergv, your new track sounds very interesting. It sounds a bit like meditation music, I wonder how it will be on a trip :p

Slayer, Gwar, Acid Bath, Cannibal Corpse.....any metal or death metal I find in a twisted sense surfaces all negativity in yourself, and can help you filter out these issues, if any. This is an extreme trip if I ever say so. I also reccomend playing your own music while tripping. nothing better than something you create, so long as you know what ur doing, that is

You seem to like Royksopp so you should really try to find Cry Baby by them, the DJ Spiller Remix. Beautiful. And Eple the Shakedown Remix is pretty funky.
Parliament Funkadelic: One Nation Under A Groove, Bopgun The Prodigy: Out of Space Portishead: Only You Chungking: Sunday Rules Black Uhuru: Sodom, Happiness The Meters: Tippi Toes Fat Boy Slim: Can U Dig It? Magic Carpet Ride Remix Chemical Bros feat The Flaming Lips: The Golden Path Mankato: Wasted (Bombay Monkey Remix) The Cure: A Forest, Close To Me Ben Kweller: My Drug Buddy cover
Just a few there! Try a few and I firmly believe you'll fall in love with at least some of them These artists have many other worthy songs but these are some of my favs.
