Martha setup

K. I've gotten quite a bit of material's together. below is some pictures of what i have setup so far. I'm a bit skeptical about the coolmist setup, I have it running rite now, and i'll put a hygrometer in there in a few hours to test the Relitive humidity.
Any comments on the martha/coolmist setup would be greatlly appriciated. I'm also wondering if I can manage just running the coolmist intermitentlly, instead of spending another 150 bucks on a humidistat.
ffs....I have a couple more picures but i'm haveing a HELL of a time getting pictures to upload with Internet explorer..sorry. This should be enough though.
Thx, TheStudent

Is that a regular humidifier or ultrasonic? The reason is you may want to shorten the hose some to reduce condensation building up in the hose turning into water buildup, and also with a regular humidifier make sure that the tip coming into your chamber isn't over a casing or it may drip drops of water onto the casing below. Looks good though:) bluhoney

Oh, you know what, here is just an idea, how about running the PVC pipe in a square around the inside of your chamber with holes drilled into it. That way the humidity will reach the entire chamber evenly while at the same time any condensation, or most rather, of the condensation would run down the walls of the chamber and not onto your casings. Just thinking out loud bluhoney

if i'm not mistaken RH is going up very slowly.
Perhap's I should seel up all vent's and the bottom of the martha? The coolmist has a hepa built in, so i think that should supply fresh air. Also cutting the Tube length like you said should let the coolmist push hunidifyed air into Martha faster if i'm not mistaken.

Why not add an ultrasonic? I wouldn't think a cool mist alone would properly humidify something that big.

what if I sealed the Martha all up and left the coolmist on med to low 24/7. then added a ultrasonic and fine tuned it to run intermittently to keep RH %(i got a digital timer that i havent even opened yet). I've heard 80-85% is adequit, and that just haveing casing's will add RH. So is there a percentage of RH I can expect the casing's to add to the atmosphere of a 60'' martha? If there is I can get everything adjusted to say....80% RH, and expect another 5% RH to be emitted from the casing.

If you have a cool mist and a ultrasonic, you won't have to seal the Martha completely. Run the cool mist 24/7 and put the ultrasonic on a timer ~10min every 2hrs.

Nothin beats a cool mist/ultrasonic combo for humidifying something like a Martha or one of those 4 tier greenhouses.

after about 6 hours last night the martha went up to 72% RH. If i left it on longer think it would have gone up more?
