Anyone case WGBR?
    #4216029 - 05/24/05 07:53 PM (18 years, 9 months ago)

afoaf is a noob and wants to make the step up to casing and after that is somewhat mastered, move on to poo.

my foaf has had the most success with WGBR. This stuff is completely colonizing half pints in 7-10 days. 24 jars were cased whole with a half inch of verm. More will be added if the martha doesn't have room to fruit.

Can I get some feedback from those that have tried casing WGBR? Yield, size compared to standard cakes, etc.

No problem, it is a bit obscure to find.

dude Diver... wow!

had something similar with BRF cakes going. Moved to a Martha and got poor oxygen exchange. I got 20 g dried in pieces less than a inch and ahalf of an inch that died from no oxygen. (edit: bad bad spelling)

Whats the nutritional content of WGBR vs BRF? I noticed the WGBR cakes are heavier and probably have more water.

I've had great success with WGBR too...I still like rye way better though.
