Cap: convex, about 1 1/2 cm diameter, smooth top, sand colored.
Stem: same color as the cap, thin, hollow, about 4 1/2 cm.
Gills: a slightly darker color than the cap and stem, with a pattern of lengths going from short to halfway down the cap, to all the way to the stem repeating around the whole cap, unattatched.
Bruising: brown, the same color as the frown post icon. that's why I used it on this post.
Spore print: black.
Habitat: open grassland.

You sure the sporeprint is black it looks to maybe be Paneolina Foenscii.

The spore print looks either a dark brown or black. foenisecii do grow here. Wow might be my first active. an extremely weak active, and I'd never be able to find enough to even trip  but hey it's a start if that is what it is.

they aren't worth eating, if thats what they are. It still isn't positively ID'ed by an expert. Until then, consider it toxic.

Interesting, matches well with foenisecii I would think that was it, except in foenisecii the gills are attached.

peace

I'd definately say Panaeolina foenescii. The skinny long stem is a dead give away. They've been popping up in my yard like mad lately.

Just FYI: Panaeolina foensecii are NOT active. Current research has shown that past reports that stated them as active were a case of mistaken identity.
