tiny little mushrooms
    #420877 - 10/10/01 02:20 PM (22 years, 5 months ago)

Well, it appears as if a few of my mushrooms have fully matured. The veil has broken and the cap is opening. One question: why are they so small? Most of them are about 1-2 inches tall and their caps are opening already. Is this normal? How can I get the big boys? :)

This was on a one-cake casing ... there are LOTS of little ones growing. Because of the limited nutrients/water for so many shrooms, I shouldn't expect them to get any larger, correct? Oh well, they're pretty. :)

One more question: will silica gel work as well as damp-rid, etc? Thanks!
