We live in the best of possible worlds...

is an impossible statement. There is no such best world if the series of possible worlds formed a continuum that went on for infinity. If there were no such best world, God could not create the single best world because doing so would be impossible, just as naming the highest number would be. There is no such number, and just like how there is no such number, there is no such world. While God may obliged to create a world which has some significant value of goodness, he could not be obliged to create the best. Thus, God simply chose an arbitrary world out of all the possible worlds to use.

Not to mention, even if we did live in the most effective universe in the multiverse, what is best for me is different from what is best for you. You cannot live in a universe that is best for everybody, because such a varied belief is subjective and somebody will always be miserable.

terms like best, good, evil, worst are a lot like the concept of motion: it can only be judged while relative to another point.

Well, we all live in our own universes of our own creation. We are at the centre of our own universe. How we make our universe for oursleve shas little to do with the things that appear in them, but more to do with our attitude toward whatever manifests. Do we recognize our universe as our own creation? Or do we shift the responsibility toward some external God and painfully excalim "Why Me?". The subtlest and greatest lie ever spread is that we cannot be in control of our own happiness. Being happy is a just a simple change of attitude and view, in this way our perception of our universe changes completely. We affect other universes that we come into contact with, by the power of our own attitude.

. Maybe God picked the best one for us right "now" (just because we are currently living in the "now").... Can you point out a better "best" world to live in/on "now"....?

Have you read Voltaire's Candide? If not, I suggest you do, it takes a giant piss on this quote.

"God wants, Man dreams, the work is born" F.Pessoa
The best world is the one man can dream of. Reality is nothing more than man trying to resurrect its dreams in a certain point of time. I don't believe in god, i dream of god. A dream sometimes conceptualized in many forms, but isn't that what believers do ? The biggest difference is that some of us see that dream as something attainable but questionable, many give those dreams a face and others don't even believe their own dreams.
"Who can scream so i can awake! I can hear me screaming inside myself, but my will already doesn't know the way to my throat" F.P.
Man can never create the best world, but maybe god, our dreams can.

lame. If all you can come up with is dropping the name of a book, you need to take a lap and hit the showers.
