tripping for my first time

hey my name is jon and i am new here, how's it going? I've been wanting to trip for a long time but I am not sure if im ready. I suffer from social anxiety and sometimes when i smoke weed i tend to get paranoid, prob because i've been smoking alot but i'm cutting down. I'm also on paxil for social anxiety and depression. I want to try mushrooms within the next few months, maybe at a concert with some friends i trust who have tripped before but i don't want to freak out. any advice for me and is it smart to trip while i'm on meds?

Paxil is an SSRI, so it will make you less sensitive to mushrooms than you normally would be. Since you are on an SSRI, you should probably eat an eighth or so.

I would advise doing them in a comfortable situation, like your home, or maybe a quiet place outside.

I've never been on mushrooms in a concert, but I could imagine it might become fairly chaotic.

Welcome to the boards, man.

I'm on Paxil as well, though a low dosage of it. I have tripped recently while on this medication and it effected it quite noticeably. My normal dosage is about 4g, but my last trip on that dosage felt nothing like ones prior to being on Paxil. I usually tell first timers to go for a half eighth. In your situation though you should go with at least an eighth. Good luck!
