Maybe some of both. Mostly I believe you are in a negative thought loop. Whatever your state you can improve it. Don't give up on it.

There seems to be a lot of free radical damage with MDMA use. This can be mitigated with lots of antioxidants during and after use. Most folks don't know this to their loss. I know someone who has done it well over 70 times and up to 8 hits at a time. He is one of the most sane loving happy guys I have ever met. Very spiritual guy. Uses lots of shrooms too at committed doses. Very evolved guy IMO. He takes care of his body very well on a daily basis. Really into supplements and takes tons of antioxidants. :mushroom2:

Yeah I think you're just panicking. I know what you mean 100% though. Both times I've rolled, there has always been that little voice screaming "WHAT EXACTLY AM I DOING TO MY BRAIN!!"

Wish I could find out =( War on drugs is making that pretty difficult.

By clinging to what is impermanent we bring suffering down upon ourselves.

You did MDMA 8 times? You're definitely panicking, and most likely creating all these symptoms.

I really abused MDMA at a certain time of my life and years later i have no noticeable consequences from it.

Smoking hash daily does more damage to my daily life than my past abuse and current occasional use of MDMA.

Just relax, don't worry about it. Even if you did some sort of *minor* damage there's really no point in worrying about that, like Icelander said.

Don't let it prevent you from overcoming your depression. You have NOT destroyed your 'happy cells'.

Yes, you'll probably be allright. Just give it some time. And since it worries you so, maybe you should lay off the X....

Yeah that's the best advice so far. If it makes you feel that way, lay off the X. That doesn't mean you have to lay off forever. But lay off until you can change your habits of thinking. You'll enjoy it more the next time you do it with a clean conscience and no tolerance

Of course MDMA can produce bad trips, it doesn't happen as often though.

You didn't destroy your "happy cells", what you did was drain all of your seretonin ( stuff that controls your mood), which is how MDMA gets you high. Your brain will rebuild it, but it takes time, about 3 months without any MDMA for it to be near full. You can use 5-htp to speed up the re-building of your seretonin, it can be found at health food stores and some grocery store pharmacies.

Don't worry theres no permanent damage, just stay away from MDMA for awhile.

Well there COULD be permanent damage. Much science suggests that the act of using all of your serotonin at once is dangerous for your neurons as they get overloaded or overwork themselves. Neurons aren't supposed to fire non-stop like that.

BUT, this damage has a good chance to be a.) repairable over time and b.) not noticeable anyway

I think the ABC "Ecstacy Rising" report cleared that up.

That's the thing that sucks about drugs. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they have changed you or messed with your body, or if you are just messing with yourself. When I mixed MDA with San Pedro became over conscious of my heart rate which caused alot of anxiety, and for a couple months almost had myself convinced something was wrong with my heart. Turns out I was just drinking caffience which can make your heart beat irregular and I'm perfectly fine.
