Blueing from ultra-fine mist??

    Has anyone experienced blueing on the top of the casing layer where the myc is exposed after misting?  Not with a handpump normal sprayer, but a Misty Mate very fine mist sprayer.  With distilled water. 
  Just wondering if this is something mycologists run in to from time to time with a given casing.

Are you spraying at the mycelium directly? If so, that would account for the bruising. Try misting above the casing surface and allowing the mist to settle on it.

That's the procedure...it's very odd.  It looks like a contam, but after a  few hours after misting the myc recovers and the blueing recedes.  Very strange.  What does such a sensitive mycelial network mean?  :confused:

Nope.  Just distilled.  Anno had said that it's fine, I think.  Plus, if you're using a pasteurized substrate that's colonized...you really shouldn't need the h2o2.  Correct me if I'm wrong, tho.  I'm still learning.  :smile:
