Spawn to. it's not a really big mycobag(although that would be cool) you have to drop a cake in it of some sort wether it be grain spawn or a pf cake.

Spawn it, top quality stuff there. Dont inoculate though. I havnt tried it myself, but I've seen only fine things come from the product.

Lay HMC compost in the bottom of a tub so you get the self humidifying effects, and spawn right to it. No casing needed. I feel that HMC does better when you skip the casing layer on it. HMC is best of the best compost.

the member "onetime" told me that they sell it at the pike place market.

down in the head shop.

so you might want to go there and get some...so you don't pay the shipping charges.

I haven't tried it yet.

Diver--no casing? really? do you use a thin layer, or absolutly none? you have found that it is BETTER without? tell me more, cuz i've got a bunch almost fully colonized right now...

Yes, I mean no casing layer for this stuff. 10 LBS. of compost can yield ounce after dry ounce with no casing layer, why use one? It's an extra headache you don't need. Also, you shave some time off your fruiting cycle when you eliminate incubation time of casing layer, etc.

Just my preference, the stuff rocks without any casing. I don't see a good reason to go through the trouble of casing in this case.

Awesome.

How much spawn do you use per pound of HMC?? How many 1QT jars would it take to spawn 5 or 10 lbs??

a good spawn ratio is 5 to 1.

5 parts HMC to 1 part of your colonized grain.
