Correct Temp for Tub in Tub?
    #4051223 - 04/13/05 03:53 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

Is 86F the optimal temp for a tub in tub? I currently have mine steady at 86 , but I read somewhere that it should be at like 80?

myfoaf's heater is at 88*F that keeps it inside 85*F they say that 83-84 is optimal becouse the myc will make a little heat on there own

I keep mine at 81 degrees F.

I colonized some South American BRF/Verm 1/2 pint PF jars...it took 8 days.

majik, you live in tampa florida? why the hell are you using a TiT then? i live in florida and my avg room temp sits at around 80F.

i dont get it, all these florida people are using incubation chambers when its entirely unnecessary, well, that is if your not blasting the A//C all the time. Any real florida person has no problem with room temps sitting at 80 though.

whatever, go through the extra work.

Low 80's is what I run. Mycelium generates it's own heat, especially at later stages towards full colonization. Used to run it at 86F but saw too many problems with excessive heat/meta waste.

IME 82-84F. is optimum this is taking the heat generated by the myc into account as Diver stated. This is the temp for fastest growth although myc will grow outside these parameters growth will slow in most all cases. GL
