Outdoor spawn w/ 75% colonized WBS
    #4043192 - 04/11/05 09:59 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

Im going to do an outdoor bed with horse shit and straw. Im spawning some WBS to it. I may only have this next weekend to do the bed. I dont know if my WBS will be fully colonized by then. If it's only say 75-80 percent can i still spawn it to the poo/straw with decent results. I have 4 seperate 1 qt. jars so there will be a decent amount of colonized WBS there for the bed.

Are there more chances of contams if i spawn my WBS early, even though it's outdoors?

well i really want to get some more jars started in my incubator before i leave next week. My incubator is full and the jars in it are only about 30-50% done now.

Im only going to be gone a week so maybe ill just PC some more jars and hold off on inoculating them until i get back. The jars in my incubator will for sure be done by a week from this saturday.

why not innoc those jars before you leave, and just put them up in the closet or something for the week that you're gone.  i've never used and incubator, just throw them in a dark place.  when you get back, you can spawn your outdoor bed, and your other jars will be a week ahead of schedule :stoned:

Also, you say your current jars are 30-50% colonized now?  I've never worked with WBS just Rye, but I shake my jars (quarts) right at the point that your's are at right now, and they're usually 100% within 2-3 days after the shake... GL bro :stoned:

Moe outdoor tek [Re: jtk]
    #4045913 - 04/12/05 01:02 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

I just cased my myc. about 4 days ago and was planning on following the Simple Cubensis tek. However, I just began to research outdoor cultivation - Moe's tek and I would much rather cultivate outdoors ( I have close to perfect enviroment) rather than deal with humidifiers, contams., temp. control ......
Would it be ok to use my casing vs. the colonized jar mentioned in tek?
