A few questions about Peyote.
    #4014521 - 04/04/05 08:53 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

Today I recieved 3 small Peyote buttons from an over sea source. They arrived bare root. They all look very healthy, but I noticed they are a little soft, especially the area directly above the carrot like root, am I right to assume this is not the way they should be?

My other cacti get a wee bit soft when it gets a little chilly, could the NE PA weather maybe be causing this? Or...like I said they were shipped bare root maybe the lack of water? Any help in this would be greatly apreciated.

And also...this is my first time growing this species so if anyone out there has some basic growing info, that would be great. For the most part would it be ok if I treated them like Trichos?

Thanks in advance for any help guys!

i doubt its too little water... im not sure if temps would do it, sounds reasonable. mine usually go soft when i over water.

dont water as much as your trichs. i water my trichs roughyl double what i do the peyote.
