    #3965718 - 03/24/05 04:37 PM (19 years, 9 days ago)

My moms birthday is about a month away and i wanted to give her her own portobella "farm" if you will. If someone could hook me up with a print of either port or shitake that would rockthanks. I could paypal some funds if needed.

well you wouldnt have much luck with a port print, they are hard to germinate. If you really want to give her a mushroom present, you hippie, then hit up http://www.mushroomadventures.com/index.html

the spores require live mycelium to germinate, its weird. I think the mycel puts off something that triggers the spores to germinate. Once you get past that step they are like cubes, same substrate, same casing but you can not sterilize the casing. it must be straight out of the bag.
