    #3944628 - 03/20/05 03:01 PM (19 years, 12 days ago)

which would you rather lose if you had to pick one? the ability to hear, or the ability to see?
Sight? or Sound?
You may choose only one

As much as I love music, I believe sight is more important.

Id lose sight in a heartbeat. Every blind person i have met were quite keen in many ways. I have a visual image of the colors, and landscapes for the rest of my life. I would rather be able to hear the gentle moans of a woman while making love than to see her O face.

Well, you never see any road signs that say "Blind child playing", i only see Deaf child playing, which makes me think that blind people are less susceptible to being hit by cars, or dont play.

I'd choose to lose my hearing.

My hearing isn't very good anyway.

Plus the peace and quiet would be nice.

I have alot of kids.  :smirk:

Would tits be considered reading braille?

I'd rather lose my sight so I wouldn't have to see the ugliness of humanity, literal and figurative. I'd still be able to trip balls, too. Gotta keep the music.

you'd have a hell of a time growing the shrooms.

Being blind is to be so helpless as to not be able to friggin drive, run down the block, watch movies, avoid that red-ant hill you're about to step in, or take a train or plane on your own. All of these things can be done by a deaf person.

I do wonder what it would be like to trip for a blind person.

I've alredy been blind. Its managable. Deafness would be pretty damn lonely.

The blind can be as mobile as they want, if they are willing to make certain sacrifices.

Touch becomes really important, with both blind and deaf people, I believe, Doobs.

Just like you'd have the memory of visions for your trips, I do believe someone who WENT deaf would likely have auditory hallucinations on mushrooms.

Plus, and this sounds like a work around on the question, I guess, but I am pretty sure we're further along in fixing ears than we are in eyes

Definitely sight. I have to have sound, music is far too big a part of my life to lose my hearing. I couldn't handle never being able to hear my guitar sing again, nor could I go without never hearing my drums. Being blind would definitely suck though.
